Wanna do something really fun in New Orleans?  Go to this place….

This had to be the highlight of our weekend in New Orleans.  What fun!  Even though the temps dipped way down to the 30′s this weekend, we were pretty warm inside.  The tales from this lady….

kept our hearts pumping and our skin crawling with goose bumps.  Jennifer was awesome. Her antics had us laughing all along the way.  If she wasn’t entertaining us with the local ghostly facts, she was cracking us up with her dramatic displays.

It all started like this….

Along came this group of brave souls and they were looking for some excitement. They bought tickets to go on this tour and convinced this guy to buy a ticket….

So, we bought tickets too.

Then a whole bunch of us got tickets and they made us go across the street and wait.

What a place to have to wait!  We were just outside Pat O’Brien’s.  They were so nice there.  They let us use their bathrooms without even buying a thing.  Of course we felt so bad about it, that most of us purchased a drink to take along on the tour so we wouldn’t get parched along the way.  Now we wondering if carrying a drink along the tour would be allowed.

Let's see... Are drinks allowed on the tour? Hmmmmmm

I think the answer was YES.  Anyway, drinks in hand we started on our tour.

Snorkeling is great fun for the entire family.  Any age can do it and really enjoy it.  We went last season and these are some of my shots.  Our guide was really fun and informative. My advice to you, don’t leave Destin  until you’ve had a chance to see the beautiful world below the beautiful beaches.  Frankly, I’m not sure which one is more awe inspiring! Don’t wait (the fish are waiting), book today!

Looking for something really fun to do?  Go horseback riding!  I did and it was great!   I love horses but am a little afraid of them (they’re a lot bigger than me).  Trail rides are guided and safe.  So there’s my comfort factor.

Last weekend my husband and I  went on this trail ride through TripShock http://www.tripshock.com/attractions/name-trail/page_num-1/ and it was the best time I’ve ever had on a horse.  Chris (one of the owners) gave us important instructions on how to handle the horse and how to use easy commands to control it.  I wasn’t the dominant one here and the horse soon figured that out.  As soon as I realized this horse knew what to do without me, I was totally relaxed and so was she.

The horses and stables were extremely well taken care of.  I was very impressed with how nice everything was both indoors and outdoors.  The trail was another pleasant surprise.  Who would have thought that there was such beautiful riding trails through woods just minutes outside of Destin, FL?

The horses were “Tennessee Walkers”, some of the most comfortable riding horses you’ll ever ride on.  They are smooth!

This is something the whole family can enjoy together.  I highly recommend it.
